Folkology Blog

Welcome to our blog

Folkology's mission is to share the organic folk art heritage of Hungary with the world. This blog is a companion to the shop and its goodies, an online diary that highlights the latest news from around the house of Folkology.

Email troubles

It has come to our attention that several emails between us and our customers both on eBay and at folkology.com have not arrived at their destination, or were filtered by our mail filter. If you have an open transaction with us, and have a question about your order that we haven’t addressed, please contact us again either through this website’s contact us form or our email address.

At this time, all Folkology orders (both eBay and non-eBay sales) are SHIPPED and on their way.

A space-dyed Starflower

Ever since launching Folkology, I’ve been longing to see what creative people around the world are making based on our products. So I was delighted to find this picture on the photo community Webshots, by la_bunny:

It is the Starflower #5 pattern by Folkology, stitched using space-dyed thread on 25ct linen. It is amazing how a modern color scheme can make a new twist on a centuries-old motif. Thank you la_bunny for sharing this photo!

P.S.: I am always looking for finished items or WIPs based on Folkology stuff, so drop me a line if you come across any on the web, or would like to share your work!
